Impact

The end goal is to accelerate the time-to-market of European industrial innovation in quantum technology and establish a trusted supply chain. The project is intended to cater to the needs of the industry and support it via Open Calls, thus boosting EU’s position in the quantum race.

The ambitions expected impacts include a sustainable European pilot line for quantum technologies/components and the creation of a viable commercial and business roadmap for its long-term operation. To manage the use cases and establish a strong brand across Europe, Qu-Pilot will establish a Single-Entry Point (SEP) responsible for managing customer relationships, dissemination and marketing, business planning, and community building. SEP will also help overcome language and cultural barriers, unite heterogeneous interests and exploitation strategies, and create a holistic integrated service portfolio. The goal is to accelerate the market introduction of quantum technologies and unlock many applications and contribute to the development of a robust European quantum technologies industry.

the Service Entry Point (SEP) as a broker between customers and service providers in the Qu-Pilot line, offering technical and business services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the quantum technologies industry. The SEP provides project management tools, templates, and advice on intellectual property rights (IPR) issues. The Qu-Pilot line offers a customized set of technical and business services based on the customer’s request and the maturity of its component/product. Qu-Pilot Impact is focused on increasing client awareness and business development through strategies for spreading information on pilot line offerings and networking with decision-makers in the quantum market, both domestically and internationally. We will organize events to bring together clients and companies developing novel products and promote quantum technologies and products among end-users while monitoring business development activities.

Open Call

Open competitive calls will be organized for external companies interested in experimental production facilities
The Open Call processes are:
Transparent
Fast
Simple
Start:
Call text and criteria will be announced at the beginning of June 2024
Closer:
September 2024
Fund:
100% funded, no direct funding to external use case companies
Qu-Pilot is a Horizon Europe project that develops and provides access to pilot production facilities for quantum technologies in Europe. Through the Open Call, Qu-Pilot offers access to fabrication capabilities to EU-based quantum technology companies without the need for significant early-stage infrastructure investments. The offered technologies & services cover superconducting, photonics, semiconducting and diamond platforms enabling technologies for quantum computing, communication, and sensing.

Benefit from the ecosystem and take advantage of Qu-Pilot services.
